A few weeks ago we hosted one of our popular 'Everyday Raw' workshops, at Orawgi Woolloongabba. Head chef & creator of Orawgi, Jamie Louise, demonstrated 5 unique raw recipes to her enthusiastic participants, which included; a Golden Tonic, Satay Noodle Salad, Warming Curry, Waldorf Salad & dessert was a Caramel Cranberry Crumble Apple Stack. And did we mention, that each guest ate a generous serving of each meal!
It was such a great night filled with nourishing food, education, laughter & fully belly's! Within these workshops, Jamie also shares her top tips when creating raw cuisine, including the varying apparatus' she use's within her home & cafe, her go-to ingredients, favourite super-foods & so much more. Orawgi workshops are not just for those who only eat raw, we have a diverse range of people who come along; from those who are transitioning out of a heavy animal protein diet, into something more plant-based, people who are going through different illness', to those who simply want to learn a healthier way of cooking.
We are so excited for our upcoming 4 part 'Raw Food Series', in August, which includes; Raw Desserts, Dehydration, Everyday Raw & Dairy Alternatives. We have so many customers visiting us in the cafe who are so shocked to see a cheesecake that is raw & includes zero dairy products! We love educating people on alternatives to common foods that are not always so healthy for ours bodies & these workshops are perfect for this.
Each workshop gives you one-on-one opportunity with Jamie herself, where you can ask her any budding questions you may have. Thank-you to all who have enjoyed one of our Orawgi workshops so far & we can't wait to meet more people.
